Meet the Team
Being a family business, CRS holds enormous value in our close knit team. This is mirrored in our respect for our customer’s businesses. Overall, we are a pretty good bunch and the office is a nice place to spend the day, this is down to those we share it with and you can meet us all below…
Hannah is our recently appointed Design Director and has been with CRS for more than 4 years. She is passionate about design and having spent most of her life drawing, making clothes and furniture, a degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the Arts University Bournemouth was a natural progression. At CRS Hannah utilises her technical skills, logical approach to design and understanding of materials to help her customers achieve the retail spaces they always wanted. Hannah is married with 3 children and lives in Christchurch. Any spare time she has is spent with her family out and about, exploring Dorset.
Ryan has a real passion for good food. This stems from trips abroad on his bike discovering amazing delicatessens tucked away across Europe. His working life has been spent in hospitality and retail sectors. Prior to joining CRS he worked in the corporate world of Coca-Cola helping to manage their portfolio of products across the top four grocers. Joining CRS in 2017 he has brought good coffee and a wealth of varied food retailing experience which he utilises in every project he manages.
Chris is the longest serving member of the team and is usually out on the road visiting customers. He is passionate and enthusiastic about the company and the service we provide. Chris loves his football and is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter. He lives locally with his wife of 10 years and two boys, somehow managing to juggle the demands of on-going projects, new customers, regular travel and being a Dad. Chris has a lot of experience with sales, is a real people person and enjoys getting to know his customers to enable him to really understand each businesses unique needs.
Hanna is the newest member of the team, coming from a customer service, refrigeration and business admin background. Hanna has a design degree yet her role at CRS is of a more administrative and practical nature, picking up all jobs which need to be done, making for a widely varied ‘to do’ list where no day is ever the same. Hanna likes to get involved with the social media and marketing side of the business. Hanna is a bit of a country bumpkin, enjoying outdoor pursuits with her husband and dogs, but has also lived in London, Birmingham and Auckland, New Zealand. Being a keen runner, Hanna is due to complete her third London Marathon this year and can often be found running near the office at stupid o’clock in the morning.
Ian is our in house refrigeration engineer, who after many years of working as one of our installation team now manages our installations and after sales service. As with all at CRS, Ian is passionate about his job, with a fine eye for detail he makes sure our installations are completed on time and within budget.
Ian came to the world of refrigeration later on in life after serving in the army for 24 years, where his background was in transportation and logistics.
Patchara (aka ‘P’) joined CRS since graduating from De Montfort University in Interior Design and is the youngest in the team. P is a perfectionist and is very detail orientated when it comes to design – a necessary requirement when dealing with intricate designs. Throughout her time at CRS she has gained various skills. This includes understanding the needs of clients and what they are looking for in their space. She fulfils these client requirements to the best of her ability using the most practical designs. Outside of work, P loves to spend a quality time with friends and family as well as loves to travel to new places as much as she can.
Andrew is the captain of the ship, although bears no resemblance to Captain Birdseye. He has been working in and around the refrigeration and shopfitting industries all his working life. His father founded a manufacturing business, Drakes Refrigeration, which was the first UK producer of steel framed refrigerated display cabinets. Andrew initially worked in this business, rising to Sales Director to work with most of the UKs major supermarket chains. In 2000 he founded CRS and was soon joined by his wife, Mary. Between them, they built their new company from a spare bedroom, up to where it is today.
He has a passion for business and maintaining strong relationships. Away from work, his passions include AFC Bournemouth who he has followed from childhood, from the depths of the 4th tier to the now lofty heights of Premier League football. He describes himself as a ‘bit of a dinosaur’ with traditional values, preferring to meet people face to face, sealing the deal with a handshake and a liking for tangible printed information. However much of a dinosaur he considers himself, he is also very embracing of new technology which is enabling the company to grow effectively.
As with us all at CRS, Andrew is a family man and grandfather. With 7 children and now 2 grandchildren in his brood, there is rarely any down time. Another dog lover, Andrew and Mary have an elderly Irish Wolf Hound called Ellie who is as big as a horse, and a chocolate mongrel called Connie Brown. We love having them in the office whenever possible.
Andrew is a dab hand at baking bread and we are often treated to a fresh loaf of a morning!
