Modified Serve-Over Counters

Criocabin offer the facility to design and build bespoke cabinets.  This facility is not only for bespoke lengths and corner angles but also for design features.

Below are some examples.

Each of these examples started as a request from a customer. So if you have an idea for merchandising, or a strangely-shaped shop, please ask, and we will be happy to discuss possibilities.

Opposite - Around a pillar

The customer had a long narrow shop which meant that the customer would trip over themselves if he put the serve-over in front of the chunky pillar, or the staff become too intimate if the serve-over was behind the pillar.  The customer was very aware that to just break up the run of counters did not achieve the spectacle of merchandising that he desired. The solution was to design the engineering and pipe work so that the counter could have a back section cut out.

Modified serve-over counter - rondell

A Rondell

The customer had a selection of high value but small bulk items that he wanted to bring attention to.  He chose a rondell, because it naturally calls attention to what it displays, and because samples could be displayed on the top.

Modified serve-over counter - mix and match glass Modified serve-over counter - mix and match glass

Mix and Match Glass

As a truly bespoke-built counter, curved glass angles, glass height and glass corners styles can be mixed and matched. This gives a huge flexibility when designing a counter to flow from a window bed into the body of the shop.

Slim-line

This customer felt that his new serve-over counter was a 20-year investment in a tool he was going to use every working day of his life. Therefore he felt that it was worth getting exactly what he wanted. The problem that had to be overcome was space.  In a small space the customer particularly wanted the advantage of not having back supports, which would interfere when several members of staff were working closely together, but the shop didn’t have enough space for a standard Evolution counter to fit into it.  The solution was to design and engineer a slim-line display bed and back shelf, and create a slim-line version of the Evolution.
